“Oh my, that lump is large but it doesn’t hurt.” Feeling it again, I remembered June telling me, “If it hurts it’s probably not cancer.” That was years ago, that lump hurt, this one did not.
“Lord” I prayed, “I don’t have time for this. I must get back to Indiana to be with Mother.” The doctor had said Mother only had days. We were home in Texas to take care of personal business so we could stay by her side.
I decided to not say a word to anyone not even my husband. Just do what must be done and deal with this later. My continuous prayer was for the Lord to take it away. Every time I showered for the next few weeks my hopes were dashed. The Lord did not take it away. I had to trust His wisdom; my life was in His hands.
Luke 12:25 “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything.”
I Peter 5:7 “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares for you.”
